The application of GRE pipes in Oil and GAS are

GRE pipes are inert to internal corrosion from chemicals, crude oil, residues, injection water and bacteria. Similarly they resist exterior corrosion even in aggressive environments. Cathodic protection is not required.

The installation cost of Glassfiber Reinforced Epoxy (GRE) pipeline systems are typically 80% of the costs of carbon steel. Because of the lightweight, the heavy equipment is not required.

The resistance to corrosion and to UV light reduce the maintenance costs for both above-ground and buried pipelines.

The smooth internal surface reduces the head loss resulting in lower pump energy consumption.
