VEM has designed and commissioned this high tech device which measure the pipe external diameter during continuous production and convert the value into the pipe thickness measurement. This parameter is placed on the operator’s monitor and recorded, so that an immediate and continuous reading is constantly available, thereby increasing the level of quality control and control of the raw material consumption. The device does not rotate and there is absolutely no contact between the device and the rotating pipe.
