High Quality
One of the main components of our work is High Quality. VEM staff does its best to apply this concept both to the equipment we supply and the technology we offer. All machinery supplied by VEM boasts the European quality and a solid workmanship. The equipment is assembled in Italy under a close supervision of our technicians.
High Quality is also what defines the operation of our equipment and characterizes the end-products. A high degree of automation alongside with the use of recommended proven raw materials allow our clients manufacture the pipes, which high quality is subsequently assured by our testing equipment. We provide our customers with all raw materials specifications, analyze the materials procured in loco in order to secure the bases of quality production. The fine tuning of the line during the commissioning phase allows to assure a faultless operation of the equipment.
The confirmation of the product quality is obtained by the performance of a range of tests with the help of VEM testing equipment, laboratory tools and instruments, which allow our customers perform their own, independent quality control in compliance with ISO, ASTM and other international standards. The documentary bases of the test procedures and reference standards are provided by VEM as part of our own know-how.

Testing
A great role in the quality assurance of the products belongs to the testing procedures which should regularly be performed by the customer. Testing in terms of the Filament Winding production can be divided into two large sections: testing of raw materials and testing of finished products. For this purpose the pipe winding plant should have at least 2 employees in charge of testing: a chemist and production control technician. The selection of raw materials and their suppliers should be performed in strict compliance with VEM specifications in order to satisfy the specific requirements of the manufacturing process. Besides, all materials should be checked upon their delivery to the plant batch per batch. Besides the raw materials, their mixing and feeding should be constantly checked during production. Only constant online control can assure a faultless production. However, obtaining a nice, solid looking pipe at the exit of the machine is not enough to assure its due operation over years. That is why it is important to perform hydrostatic tests of all pipes and sleeves, as well as a series of mechanical tests on some pipe samples picked occasionally from the lot. This series of tests on the product is what assures the pipe resistance to the internal pressure, external loads and installation conditions.
