The Standard tests have a double function of the verification of the quality of the manufactured products (pipes, sleeves and fittings) and the experimental determination of the properties used in the product design, such as:
•         pipe stiffness
•         axial and hoop mechanical properties
•         beam properties
•         hydrostatic or pressure design basis (HDB or PDB)
•         ring bending strain
•         strain corrosion.
VEM provides its customers with the list of relevant international standards, as well as the instructions for the performance of certain compliance tests including the proceedings, reference values and methods of analysis.
Please note, that the standards themselves are the property of their issuing bodies. Thus, they need to be purchased by the customer one by one from authorized organizations and are intended for personal use only.
